Have a shoppers card or you'll have to pay more. Well you'll probably pay more anyway, the prices tend to be higher than Shop rite nearby or Giant. Their produce is on the weak side, but the store does have a Starbucks in it. The bakery also makes some yummy snacks.
There are newer and bigger Safeways around but none are as well stocked as the one in Jacksonville. Whenever there's a line they are quick to calk for more cashiers to ensure your waisting never too long.
Nice local Safeway - it's been there forever. But due to the area I find prices to be on the higher side.
I've been away from Jacksonville for 20 years. It's nice to see that the anchor stores and shops are still around. I always liked Safeway and the changes I saw were all for the better. Good quality, good prices and pleasant staff.
